Privacy policy
Last updated 19 June 2026. This page explains what personal data Green Sphere collects, why, and the cookies we use.
Who we are
This website is operated by Green Sphere (NPT) Ltd ("Green Sphere", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17216430. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at contact@green-sphere.co.uk.
What personal data we collect
We collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us, principally through our contact and quote request forms. Depending on which form you use, this may include:
- Your name and contact details (email address and, optionally, phone number)
- Your organisation or company name, where provided
- Details of your enquiry - project type, timescale, site address and description of works
- Any other information you choose to include in a message to us
We also automatically collect limited technical data when you browse the site (such as IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited) via the cookies and similar technologies described below.
How we use your data
We use the personal data we collect to:
- Respond to enquiries and quote requests, and provide proposals or quotations
- Administer and improve our website, products and services
- Protect our forms against spam and abuse (via Google reCAPTCHA)
- Understand site traffic and measure the performance of our advertising, where you have consented to analytics or advertising cookies
- Comply with our legal obligations
Our legal basis for processing enquiry data is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and, where a contract follows, performance of that contract. Where we rely on analytics or advertising cookies, our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time - see "Cookies" below.
We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those described here without asking you first.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use the following categories on this site:
| Category | Purpose | Consent required? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core site functionality, and Google reCAPTCHA, which protects our contact and quote forms from spam and automated abuse. | No - these are required for the site to work |
| Analytics | Google Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. | Yes |
| Advertising | Google Ads, which measures the performance of our advertising and conversion of quote enquiries. | Yes |
When you first visit the site, a banner lets you accept all cookies or reject non-essential cookies. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.
Third parties we work with
We share data with the following third-party processors, who act on our instructions:
- Google Analytics & Google Ads - website analytics and advertising measurement (only with your consent, see above)
- Google reCAPTCHA - spam and bot protection on our forms
- Sentry - error monitoring for our website. Sentry may capture technical details of a request (such as page URL and browser information) when an error occurs, to help us diagnose and fix faults. This runs on our server and is not a tracking cookie, so it is not part of the cookie banner.
- Our email and hosting providers - to deliver enquiry emails and host the website
Some of these providers may process data on servers located outside the UK. Where this happens, they do so under appropriate safeguards, such as the providers' standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep your data
We retain enquiry and quote data for as long as needed to respond to you and, where a project proceeds, for the duration of our relationship and afterwards as required for accounting, warranty or legal purposes. Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask us what personal data we hold about you, and request a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing
- Request that your data be provided to you, or another organisation, in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent (such as analytics or advertising cookies)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@green-sphere.co.uk. If you remain unhappy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change the services or third parties we use. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
